February Favorites

Here are the products/ items that I loved in the month of February:

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara – Everyone has been comparing this mascara to the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara and claims they are dupes for each other. This mascara claims to volumize, lengthen, and curl your lashes. I naturally have pretty long lashes, but they lack thickness; so I prefer mascaras that will help to enhance my lashes, while adding some volume to them as well. I did not see any lengthening, curling, or separation of my lashes, but did see a huge difference in the overall thickness. I will say, this is a very dry formula… much like the Lash Paradise Mascara from Loreal. So expect a little fall out throughout the day.

Sonia Kashuk Tools No. 19 – I’ve never tried Sonia Kashuk’s brushes and when I saw the entire brand on clearance at Target, I knew I needed to take advantage of the deal! The brushes are normally pretty expensive for drugstore price (I believe they are more pricey than RealTechniques), but because of the sale, I got a couple of the brushes for less than $5.00! This is by far the best of the brushes that I purchased. I use this brush primarily for setting my under eyes with powder, but honestly this brush is so versatile you could use it in several ways.

No.7 Bronzer in Golden Sand – I also picked this bronzer up at Target. I’ve tried No.7’s foundation, and other skincare products before, but never their bronzer. To be honest, the packaging got my attention… I’m a sucker for gorgeous packaging. But besides the packaging, the subtle glow from this bronzer is perfect for my skin. I have more of a neutral to yellow undertone, so ashy bronzers look muddy on me, yet orange bronzers look awful too. So I was surprised to find that this bronzer was neither muddy or orange and instead gave a nice natural look to my skin. I like to mix this with my Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer for even more of a sunkissed-vibe!

Wet ‘n’ Wild Megaglo Highlighter Powder in Blossom Glow – The drugstore has recently been coming out with some awesome highlighters and have really stepped up their game! I was so surprised by this highlighter and instantly fell in love when I swatched it. The light pink is perfect for my fair skin in the winter time, but I think I will have to repurchase a deeper shade when I start to get a tan in the warmer months. This highlighter was only $4.99!

Medium Crown Brush from Brush Trio – I received this brush in my Boxycharm this month and have been obsessed with it ever since. Crown brushes are so soft, I am almost sad to get them dirty! Unfortunately, there are no names on any of the brushes in the trio so you literally have to refer to them as the small, medium, and large brushes. This brush is perfect for applying highlights because of the shape of the bristles. It has a slight taper to the tip but is still pretty round, which helps apply a wider amount of product yet is more precise in application. This is awesome for those like myself that have a wide face, compared to those with a narrow face and smaller features.

English Laundry Perfume – I received this product in my Ipsy bag for the month of February. I didn’t create post this past month for my Ipsy Bag because I was so disappointed in the products that we received. BUT, this was one of the only products that I have continued to use and have not given away to my friends/family. This perfume is very light and spring-like. I’m super sensitive to smells and this has not made me sneeze at all! I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume and might have to check out the brand once I’ve used this product up.

Seraphine Sugar + Lemon Moisturizing Lip Buffer – Another product that I received in my February Boxycharm. I still cannot get over the prize of this lip scrub… $24.00!? Here lately my lips have been pretty dry, but with this lip scrub I do not feel the need to really scrub to get my lips exfoliated. Instead, just a little bit of this scrub revamps my lips into feeling pillowy-soft. I’ve used this with & without a lip product on and have seen a huge difference. With that all being sad, I most likely won’t be repurchasing this product again, only because it is hard for me to reason with buying a $24.00 lip scrub when honestly… sugar and coconut oil will give you the same results.

Honorable mention…

Makeup Bag – I adore this little bag! My Momma actually saw this makeup bag in Walmart and thought of me, which is 100% spot on. Who else cannot live without a little makeup & a lotta coffee??

As always, thanks for stopping by and until next time…

Sincerely,

Lee.
