PUR The Complexion Authority
Eyeshadow Palette Collab
$36.00

“Our signature silky smooth ultra-mattes are paired with pretty pinks and a vibrant blue to lighten the mood. Plus, you can layer the shimmer shades for a duo chrome finish.”

First Impression: There is an insane amount of pigment with these shadows, which have actually caused me to be more cautious when applying them. I found that with a light hand and a good quality brush, these shadows blend perfectly. I’m working my way to the blue shade… it’s super intimidating!

Bellapierre Cosmetics
Volumizing Mascara
$20.00

“Long lasting, volumizing mascara was formulated to help create thicker and fuller lashes.”

First Impression: I tried this mascara on over the weekend, and am so glad I chose not to try it out during the work day because this mascara is awful (at least for my first impression). I think I am going to do a more in depth review on it, but initially I was pretty let down as there was a complete lack of volume on my lashes. But, I am willing to give it another shot, and maybe my opinion will change! Stay tuned.

South Mane Beauty
Under Eye Gels
$10.00

” Great for an easy mask without the clean up. They soften and moisturize to ensure that you look rested and refreshed.”

First Impression: This is a product that I am hoping to test out in the month of April! Since I don’t really struggle with dark circles or wrinkles around the eyes, I gave the other two that came in the package to my Mom and Sister. So, I am interested to hear how they felt about the results it did or did not give them.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company
Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set
$23.15 (Yes, you read correctly… 15 cents)

“Use the Shadow Brush to sweep a light, shimmery color over your lids. Pack a darker color onto the Angled Shadow Brush and work into the creases of your eyelid and outer corners. The Smudger Brush can be used to blend the two shades together, or alternatively use an even darker color to accentuate the crease and define your lash line.”

First Impression: Does anyone else fine it irritating when a makeup company doesn’t label their brushes with the brushes name? I prefer it simply because it is easy to reference; but for those who are unfamiliar with makeup brushes, I can see how it would be convenient to have the name listed on the handle to provide a sense of instruction. The bristles are soft and pretty dense, so packing on pigment shouldn’t be an issue. So far, I have only used the shadow brush to apply color in my crease and across the lid and found that it wasn’t scratchy and blended well.

Pretty Vulgar
Make Them Blush
$26.00

“Awakens your complexion and provides a natural, glowy flush to your cheeks. This silky-smooth formula is long-wearing and highly pigmented. The buildable blush powder can be worn alone or paired for a multidimensional pop of color that will flatter any complexion.”

First Impression: Wow… This blush is so insanely bright that I am literally fearful to even apply it to my cheeks! I am pretty bummed that I didn’t get the other shade that some Boxycharmer’s received as I feel I would have gotten more use out of it. I think I won’t be as reluctant to try this shade in the summer time when my skin is more tanned to balance out the loudness of this blush. Honestly, this is the second product we have received from Pretty Vulgar that is not something I cannot see myself wearing because it is so “risky”, but then again, I am so obsessed with the packaging that I don’t think I can part with it. The struggle is real.

Overall, the grand total for this month’s box was: $115.15!

That is still so impressive considering I pay only $21.00 each month 🙂

As always, thank you for stopping by and until next time…

Sincerely,

Lee.

Oh no! That sucks! And May is their birthday month! Some month’s aren’t as great as others, but just give it a little more time & I think you won’t be disappointed! It is definitely worth the money!
