Hope everyone has had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. This weekend was long overdue for me, and I am a bit sad to see it end. But… I’m really excited to be reviewing Too Faced’s Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation today and sharing my thoughts and opinion on this foundation with you all!
This foundation is one of those that everyone has been hyping up here recently (and for a good reason too). Majority of those that have tried it & loved it, were those that suffer from oily skin, like myself. While I agree with most of the claims for this foundation, I did find that there was maybe one or two claims that I am either on the fence about or completely disagree with. Below I have broken down each of the claims and the pro’s and con’s of the Peach Perfect Foundation!
Shade Range: According to Too Faced’s website, there is a selection of 12 shades to choose from, with all shades appearing to have a yellowish undertone. For this foundation to be considered high-end, you would assume they would have the budget to expand their shade range to a minimum of 20 shades. After debating on which color matches me best, I finally settled on ‘Porcelain’; initially, Porcelain seemed quite light still for my skin tone, however, after just a few moments the shade began to oxidize.
Formula: This foundation claims to “create a smooth canvas for flawless, comfortable matte wear” and I completely agree. Even though the consistency is not very thick, I do find this foundation to have a medium coverage. When using a brush, I found that the foundation almost instantly dries down to a complete matte, but is still pretty breathable. It’s not heavy or feels like you are even wearing a foundation!
Packaging: Firstly, I adore the rose gold accents, simply because it matches with the theme of my makeup vanity. Secondly, I can appreciate a good quality pump within a user-friendly tube. If you are anything like myself, glass containers and hardwood/tile floors is not the safest combination. Because this product is not shaped like other traditional foundation containers, it is a bit harder to store.
Quantity: Here’s the great news. This foundation has 1.6 fluid ounces (or 48 mL)! To compare for reference: IT Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Foundation (1.0 fl. oz. or 30 mL); Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation (1.0 fl. oz. or 30 mL); Maybelline’s SuperStay Foundation (1.0 fl. oz. or 30 mL). Basically, you are getting your money’s worth by getting a little more product than you normally would from the average foundation.
Price: For a high-end foundation, $36.00 is pretty average. If the foundation does as it claims to, then I fully believe it is worth the expense.
Fragrance: Along with the other products within the Too Faced Peach Collection, this does smell like artificial peaches, however, it’s not so intense as everyone makes it out to be. I am pretty sensitive to highly fragranced products & try my best to avoid them if possible, but honestly, I haven’t had any issues with the fragrance of this foundation.
Longevity: This foundation claims to be able to last a full 14-hours of wear. I have tested out that particular claim in different scenarios, with different primers and powders, and found that it does last quite a while on my oily skin. The longest I have worn this foundation was for 13-hours; I felt no urge to blot or re-powder throughout the day (which is usually a twice-a-day ritual for me). I do begin to “feel” the foundation sitting on my face around the 8-hour mark, but is still breathable and comfortable!
Photo Friendly: When you first apply the foundation you do see a blurring effect to the skin, which does make it photo-friendly as they claimed; however, after a couple of hours of wear & once the foundation completely settles, reality hits. The dreaded pores & fine lines are accentuated & more pronounced around the 8-hour mark (at least that was the case for myself). So basically, don’t count on this foundation to be remarkable and smoothing for the full 14-hours of wear, but you at least get a good 8-hours instead.

After 5 hours of wear.

After 9 hours of wear.
Overall, I would definitely re-purchase this foundation & think it is well worth the splurge!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by & until next time…
Sincerely,
Lee.
Great review! I have not tried this foundation, but I may test it out the next time I do a makeup haul😉

Yes! Totally worth the splurge… plus, I don’t think they are discontinuing it anytime soon!
