We, as humans, are never satisfied. We want more, we want it fast, and we want results. I’ve found when it comes to our beauty and complexion, we especially want all of these things. After trial and error, and sometimes after too much money spent, we become desperate. I’m no exception to this.
A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with the Epstein Barr Virus. EBV has taken quite a toll on my life and has become a constant battle just to remain healthy and well. Besides the long list of side effects this quiet disease has caused, there is one in particular that I would like to share today. Due to having EBV, my body produces a significantly lower amount of B-Vitamins (B6, B12, Biotin), and in result, my hair, skin, and nails suffer greatly. Since being diagnosed, I take not only my daily vitamins but also prenatal vitamins and monthly B-12 shots (that I do myself – yes, they suck). While these preventatives do make an overall difference, I still experience the occasional hair loss and the extremely fragile, brittle nails. Further, I notice my eyelashes and eyebrow hairs to fall out on a weekly, if not daily, basis. Because I am constantly taking in B-Vitamins, I do notice a fast re-growth process when it comes to my hair, nails, eyelashes, and eyebrows; however, though they may grow fast, they are still weak and hardly strong enough to continue growing.
I was on the hunt for a conditioning product that helped my eyelashes grow healthy and strong… and to stay that way. I found out about Revitalash through beauty blogger, Sharron Harris. She’s been a believer for years and sells it on her website. I initially wanted an all-natural process, such as using castor oil, but didn’t find that it worked very well for me. So I figured I would give Revitalash a try, and if it turns out that it is a complete gimmick, then I can at least share my experience with you all!
What is Revitalash? Revitalash is a “lash conditioner that enhances the look of lashes and protects against breakage, while improving health, flexibility and strength, for lashes that thrive, naturally. Revitalash is Ophthalmologist tested, Dermatologist reviewed, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, vegan friendly, cruelty-free, and safe to use with eyelash extensions”.
So what does Revitalash do? “This serum is a proprietary blend featuring a scientifically-advanced technology. Peptides, lipids, biotin, and green tea extract, rich in panthenol, condition and strengthen lashes while defending from environmental damage, as well as damage caused by lash styling products that can cause breakage and brittleness”.
And how do I use Revitalash? Make sure to cleanse your eyes thoroughly before applying to ensure all traces of makeup have been removed. Apply a thin line across the top-side of your lashes in one swipe; make sure to not over apply. A little goes a long way! Remember to use on a consistent daily basis for best results.
Below is a comparison of my lashes before and after mascara on Day 1 of this Revitalash journey. Since I bought the 3-month supply, I will be updating regularly (maybe every 3 – 4 weeks). As well, I will be using the same mascara in each photo to use as a reference. The mascara used is: Essence’s Lash Princess Volume Mascara (pink).
Stay tuned for the update in 3-4 weeks!
Sincerely,
Lee.
