I’m sure I am not the only one who loves discovering new products. It’s not just testing out a product, but the discovery that I love and enjoy most! Although, for this month the items on my list were a bit… short. Honestly, here in Georgia – or basically everywhere in the world now-a-days – it’s miserable outside. All I want to do is be inside with my nice, cold air-conditioning and be as far away from this 95 degree weather as much as possible!
With that being said, wearing makeup has been out of the question on these hot, humid days. I mean, what’s the point when you’re only going to sweat it off by noon anyways? Needless to say, my foundation collection has gotten no-love this summer. However by neglecting some of my usual go-to’s for monthly favorites, I was able to explore new items and products!
Check out my thoughts and love for these products/items below!

Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum
$58.00
First of all let me say… This product ain’t cheap! Honestly, most serums worth anything, aren’t. But the love and the obsession I have for this night serum, is real. So real, it hurts. I received this serum in my Boxycharm last month, and honestly, I have used it religiously every night since. You know the panic that sets in when you have made a nice dent in a product that you don’t want to be used up because you’ll have to re-purchase it? Yeah, that’s been me every night I use this product 😥 It’s so good I want it to last forever!
Let me tell you why it’s amazing. This serum is a 3-in-1 product; it not only resurfaces your skin texture, but hydrates and clarifies too! It has 14% AHA/BHA, so it might be a little too harsh at first to apply nightly. I started out every other night, then worked my way up to applying it nightly after my essences. I saw a difference in my overall skin texture, oil production, and healthy glow within the first week of using it. I started getting compliments from others within 2 weeks. Hyperpigmentation, excessive oil production, enlarged pores, scars, dull skin – fixed because of this $58 serum.
(Side note: There is a bit of a tingling sensation when you first put it on, but does go away within a minute or two. Make sure to avoid your eyes and lips… OUCH.)

Nail Envy – Original
$17.95
Here lately, my nails have been pathetic. They’re bittle, they flake, and they just can’t grow like they use to. After doing a bit of research, I came across this guy. Nail Envy is suppose to provide a maximum strength to your nails thanks to hydrolyzed wheat protein and calcium. I got the original, but apparently there are 6 others in the collection. The directions say to apply every other day, but honestly, I have seen a difference with just applying it whenever I remember to! I will say though, consistency is key. One time, I forgot to apply it for more than a week straight, and my nails suffered. All the progess made, gone! I picked this up at Walgreens, but it’s also available at Walmart, Target, and on Amazon.

Espadrille Wedges
$11.04, Originally $30.00
Since the trend began, I have been on the hunt for a pair of good espadrille wedges! I didn’t want too high of a heel, something comfortable, and also work-appropriate. This one of many items I recently hauled from thredUP (Haul coming soon). The description on thredUP was “Like new” and, in all honestly, I couldn’t tell if they had ever had a past life. No scuffs, no wear, no stains. What a deal! They fit beautifully and I have already worn them at least 2-3 times a week. Similar.

Sheer Blonde – Go Blonder Lightening Conditioner
$9.99
For years I dyed my hair in all forms of red (auburn, burgundy, etc.), but here recently I decided I needed a change. I asked my hairdresser for a modest balayge treatment. I didn’t want anything too drastic, and I was a little scared to go too light. The results came out great! She darken my natural color, and gave me a warm blonde to my tips and around my face. Well, joke was on me… I ended up loving the blonde and actually wanted it lighter! Instead of putting my hair through additional harshness, I decided to try this conditioner! After using it for about a week or so, I started to see a difference! At first, I was only applying this conditioner to the already blonde strands, but after a couple of uses, I ended up applying it to the rest of the strands and love the result! I love this lightening conditioner because it isn’t too harsh on my hair. My strands don’t feel weakened or damage. I also love the sun-kissed look it gives my hair. It’s perfect for summer!

Self Tanning Water – Medium
$28.00
I first heard about this product from Youtuber ‘HelloOctober’. She raved about this self-tanner, and I believe it may have even been in her favorite’s videos as well! I’m not that into self-tanning, but after listening to her speak so highly, I decided to give it a try. What I’m not fond of when it comes to self-tanning, is the overall process. It’s unpleasant. You can’t move, touch anything, and one wrong swipe and you’ve got a mistake that will haunt you for a week! If you’re into the bronze-godess look, this self-tanner isn’t for you – which is exactly why I love it! Despite being ‘Medium’, the results are very natural and not harsh. I especially love applying this to my face, as I usually over apply sunscreen to my face. There is no color guard in this self-tanner, which can make application a little tricky if you forgot where you’ve already covered, but, without the color guard you are free to move about how you want with no risk of staining everything in sight. As well, when the product wears off within the weeks time, it’s a gradual fade instead of the orangey-patchiness we are all so familiar with. I will say, because I exfoliate and use toner everyday, the tanner doesn’t last very long when applied to the face. Also, if you were wondering… it’s water, so it doesn’t clog your pores 🙂 I highly recommend trying this product out. It can be a little pricey, but I have used it on a weekly basis for about 3 months and still have a good amount left!
