About a year ago, I got the chance to travel back to California… and by back, I mean after 25 years of being away. I was born in California, but raised in Georgia. We left California when I was 2, so I don’t have any real memories of living there, other than the pictures I have seen over time. As a gift last year, my Mom surprised me with a trip to visit San Francisco. We actually lived in San Jose, not San Fran, but the trip would have been pretty quick if we only visited San Jose.
Since we were in San Fran for 4 days, I am dividing up these Travel Diaries into sections of where we visited… which was a lot of places! And I’m thinking about making a post of places to visit if I think people would be interested!
First on the list, is none other than the Golden Gate Bridge!
I have to say, my favorite side of the bridge is definitely the Sausalito side (which is a magical city in it’s self!). From the Sausalito side you get to admire not only the bridge, but San Fran as the backdrop as well. We traveled across the bridge on one of those tour guide buses and were sitting on the roof top so our hair was nice & wind blown afterwards. LOL. The architecture of this bridge is breath-taking and everything I had hoped it to be.
Have you have visited the Golden Gate Bridge or San Francisco? If so, what was your favorite part of your visit/ trip? Stay tuned for more of my Travel Diaries: San Francisco series!
Sincerely,
Lee.
