Haight & Ashbury

Calling all music-buffs, stoners, & hippies-alike… this next stop is for you! One of my favorite stops in San Francisco was the Haight-Ashbury District. Unfortunately being a Libra, I am always trying to find my balance between logic & creativity… but, not in Haight & Ashbury. Needless to say, the left-side of my brain was very pleased with its’ surroundings. LOL.

Prior to stopping in H&A, a lot of locals warned us of the local crime & the volume of homeless people in the district (though, still nothing compared to the Tenderloin District); so while it was mostly all fun & games, we were still very aware of our surroundings. Besides that, the district still gives off a 60’s, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix vibe that’s hard not to love.

 

Like parts of downtown Atlanta, H&A have amazing, instagrammable street murals!

 

I could not get enough of the quirky, eclectic-vibe that can truly only be found on H&A.

 

Lastly, you can’t visit Haight & Ashbury & not make a stop at the Panhandle. I know it sounds a bit crazy… but honestly, you can still feel the presence of the music / concerts that took place 70+ years ago 😥
