Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara | Review & Wear Test

Hi Everyone!

If I was stuck on a desert island and had to pick only one makeup item to have with me, it would be mascara! In all honestly, I would say sunscreen because that makes the most sense, but technically that is skincare. LOL. What makeup item would you chose if you were stuck on a desert island? Let me know in the comment section down below!!  🙂

Today we are reviewing Lancome’s Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara & putting it to the test! I hadn’t heard about this mascara until I watched Vogue’s Beauty Secrets with Kim Kardashian West on Youtube. Kim has absurdly long, thick lashes that make us all super jealous, so naturally, I needed whatever she was selling. Isn’t that how it goes??

Final Thoughts

While I do think this mascara looks and wears beautifully, I don’t think I would go out of my way to re-purchase it at full price. I think there are some decent drugstore alternatives, such as Essence’s Lash Princess False Lash Effect (green) or Loreal’s Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. With that being said, if I saw this at Nordstorm Rack, TJ Maxx, or Marshall’s at half the price or less, I would most definitely re-purchase. The formula is a little on the dryer side, so make sure you are working quickly when separating your lashes or you will end up with clumpy lashes. I don’t mind the dryer formula, even though it does flake, because I have oily skin & wetter formula’s tend to transfer easily to my eyelids & under my eyes. Most of the claims, such as the precise application, the feasibility of getting into corners and coating each lash, and giving a wide-eye effect, are 100% true & I completely agree with; however, the claims that I don’t agree with is the mascara being clump-free & giving a lifted-effect. Again, if you don’t work quickly, this mascara will clump easily because of the dryer formula. Also, I naturally have longer lashes, but with this mascara, I feel like that wasn’t being portrayed. Maybe because this mascara is more of a volumizing, fanned out lash, instead of lengthing. (Side note: I did not use an eyelash curler or eyelash primer prior to applying this mascara)

Have you tried Lancome’s Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara? If so, how did you feel about it? Also, if you have any suggestions on which mascara I should try out next, please leave it down in the comments below!

Sincerely,

Lee.
