Wedding Guest Makeup & Outfit

Hi everyone! ‘Tis the season! Not for Christmas (though, I wish)… it’s wedding season!! Is it just me or does it feel like everyone is getting either engaged or married?? Within this past year alone, I think I have attended at least 5 weddings and have another one in October!

I love weddings because it brings families and friends together to celebrate two special people and the bond & love they share together. But what I don’t necessarily like about weddings is the “wedding guest pressure”, and yes, I just made this up. I am that person that over thinks literally everything, but I am especially at my worst when it comes to getting ready for weddings! How casual or formal is the wedding? What colors do I wear? Do I match their theme? Formal dress or comfy dress? Heels or no heels? Hair up or hair down? Do I bring the gift with me or send it later?

Brain. On. Overload.

If you can relate, please leave me a comment reassuring me that I am not the only one that faces these dilemmas! And I cannot even begin to imagine if I was the Bride! I’d seriously have a nervous breakdown LOL. If one day I do get married, I’m going to do myself a solid & have a chill, laid-back backyard wedding & invite everyone to wear jeans & graphic tees… just to lower my own stress level 🙂

Disgressing from my rant… My cousin/ best friend/ ying to my yang, got married over the Labor Day holiday in South Carolina. Besides being wedding season, it’s also hurricane season, and lucky, God held off the storm for these two! It was a charming, coastal, destination wedding & I sweated all my curls out 😉 But what stayed put, was my makeup!!! Not to pat myself on the back, but… I put together a BOMB, SWEAT-PROOF look that lasted throughout the entire night, as well as over 60% humidity, tears, sweat, & lots of dancing.
