Today I am sharing with you my current skincare routine for the AM & PM. I would say it’s a bit more lengthy than the average, but it works for me & my current/ongoing skincare needs. You can find a lot of these products at Walmart, Target, or local drugstores, but I have linked them all to Amazon (which is sometimes the cheapest) so it’s easy for you to search if your interested in a product!
Glamglow GentleBubble Daily Conditioning Cleanser
$28.00
“The ultimate daily conditioning cleanser to gently but effectively cleanse skin and remove face-makeup and daily impurities. Oat amino acids condition the skin while gentle bubbles deeply cleanse and dissolve makeup. Blended with apple extract, vitamin E, and TEOXI green leaf, this fentle foaming cleanser, inspired by the rainbow aura of bubbles, is mild, soap-free, and SLS & SLES-free”
I skip this product in the AM because I have oily-skin & have found double cleansing is too much for my skin in the morning. So the first step in my nighttime skincare routine is this GentleBubble Cleanser from GlamGlow. This is a good, gentle cleanser (especially on my sensitive skin), but the “bubbles” are hit or miss – sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t. I got this product a couple of months back in a BoxyLuxe from Boxycharm, and have been using it everyday since! For an everyday cleanser, it is a bit on the pricey side. I have recently seen it on sale at TJ Maxx, so if you are interested in trying out this cleanser see if you can find it at a TJ Maxx or Marshalls near you!
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
$6.30
“All-in-1 cleanser & makeup remover, cleanses, removes even waterproof makeup & refreshes skin; oil-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free; micelle technology attracts dirt, oil & makeup like a magnet without harsh rubbing; all skin types, even sensitive”
I use this product in the morning & at night. In the morning, it is my first skincare product that I use, & at night, I follow up with this product after using my GentleBubble Cleanser. I usually always double cleanse because my skin is oily, acne-prone with enlarged pores, so I like to ensure my face is sqeeky-clean (but not feeling stripped). While this micellar cleanser is affordable, it isn’t my favorite. I prefer Simple & Bioderma.
Neutrogena Oil – and Alcohol- Free Facial Toner
$5.98
“This alcohol-free face toner is contains mild purifiers that work to gently remove impurities & help recondition skin; the alcohol-free formula of this cleansing toner cleanses and refreshes skin without causing irritation or drying skin & will not strip delicate facial skin of its own natural moisture”
I use a facial toner morning & night to help ensure my skin is clean, balanced, and prepped for my serums & creams. So far, I have not found my skin to be irritated with this toner. Some toners, like Thayer’s Witch Hazel, are too irritating for my sensitive skin, but Neutrogena’s (& T.N. Dickinson’s) is gentle, yet gets the job done!
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
$9.80
“High-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula that visibly regulates sebum and minimizes pores.”
I just recently added The Ordinary into my AM & PM skincare routine, & am liking the results so far! I’ve been using the 3 products I have for about a month now & am noticing some subtle differences, but will continue to use & repurchase to see the results over a longer span of time. I’m also thinking about doing a post dedicated to The Ordinary products, so stay tuned!

No7 Beautiful Skin Rich Hydrating Eye Cream
$16.90
“Provides rich, hydrating nutrients for healthy-looking, bright and beautiful eyes. Fragrance-free and packed with Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamins C and E, after four weeks of use, skin around the eye is soft and smooth and looks more radiant.”
Initially I was only using this eye cream at night, until I watched someone on YT applying a hydrating eye cream during their morning routine. I’m not sure why I never thought of it before, but it makes sense! Since adding this into my morning skincare routine, I have found that my concealer and under eye powders don’t look as crepey & wrinkley. While I think this eye cream is a little expensive for a drugstore brand, I did buy this at Target well over a year ago & it is still going strong, so you definitely get your money’s worth!
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow AHA Hydrating Night Serum
$54.44
“BEAUTY SLEEP: The AHA face serum uses a 14% AHA / BHA / gentle flower acids blend to resurface, hydrate and clarify dull skin, all while you’re fast asleep; YOUTHFUL COMPLEXION: The anti aging serum’s AHA blend also helps to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles to reveal a healthy, more youthful complexion and a natural glow; PROVEN RESULTS: Based on a consumer panel test of women ages 25-60 with a variety of skin types, in just six weeks, 100% of users felt skin was soft and supple, and 97% of users felt skin was smooth and retexturized”
This is a relatively newish product to my skincare routine. Since this product has AHA, BHA, & other acids in it, I only use this product at night. Initially, I started off using this only once a week, to get my skin acclimated, but after a couple of weeks of slowly increasing the application amount, I am now using this product daily. It does have a slight tingle at first, but goes away after a minute or so. Once I have applied this product, I give it a minute or two to “sink in” & wait for the tingle to subside. You don’t have to do this, but I usually wash my hands after this product because of the acids, just to be overly cautious & to avoid accidentally applying it to my eyes or lips. I did get this is a previous Boxycharm, so I will be a little sad when I finally run out because it is not cheap!!
Skin Better Science Rejuvenate AlphaRet Overnight Cream
$120.00
“A unique combination of an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and a retinoid that provides visible skin rejuvenation with little-to-no irritation, improving the appearance of lines, wrinkles, uneven tone and texture; Benefits:
-
Significantly reduces the appearance of wrinkles in as little as four weeks, with little-to-no irritation.
-
Combines two gold standard skin rejuvenation ingredients— a retinoid and lactic acid—to create a revolutionary double-conjugated retinoid.
-
Provides moisture to help counteract dryness associated with traditional retinoid-based products.
-
A potent blend of antioxidants helps neutralize free radicals”
Speaking of pricey items… This sucker is $120.00!?! Needless to say, I use barely one pump of this each night & am trying to make this last for as long as I can. Since this product has retinoids & AHA’s in it, I use this only at night. I got this at a dermatologist office during a skincare seminar & was sold when looking at the before & after photos. I don’t think I have been using this product enough to be able to tell a significant difference & sadly forgot to take Day 1 photos 😦
It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Super Moisturizer
$21.99
“Developed with plastic surgeons, the leading experts in skin rejuvenation, this revolutionary super cream is your quick-absorbing moisturizer that goes beyond hydration for results you can feel confident in; Confidence in a Cream nourishes your skin with collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants and colloidal oatmeal to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the texture of your skin and delivering the ideal amount of moisture”
Finishing off my skincare routine, is the Confidence in a Cream Super Moisturizer by It Cosmetics. I use this moisturizer both morning & night. I received this moisturizer this year in a Boxyluxe! Unfortunately, I personally have not seen a huge difference with this moisturizer, so I most likely won’t be re-purchasing this item, but I do love how it sits under makeup!
