Dose of Colors Sassy Siennas Eyeshadow Palette

Hi Everyone! I recently received the Dose of Colors Sassy Siennas eyeshadow palette in a past Boxycharm but haven’t had the chance to play with it yet, until now!

I had my eye on this collection ever since it was first released, but couldn’t reason with purchasing an eyeshadow palette that cost $32.00 for 5 shadows. In other words, $6.00 per pan; whereas, you can buy Colourpop’s 9-pan eyeshadow palette for $12.00. Thankfully, with my Boxycharm subscription I only had to pay $21.00 for the box, and this was one of the high-end, full-sized products that I received!

There are 6 eyeshadow palettes in this 5-pan collection: Baked Browns, Blushing Berries, Marvelous Mauves, Pretty Cool, Sassy Siennas, & Snow Angels. From the photos online, the palettes I am drawn to the most are the Baked Browns & Pretty Cool palettes. Basically the only two neutral palettes… Go figure. Even though Sassy Sienna is vibrant in comparison, it’s still pretty wearable! You could create a one and done look with honestly every shadow in this palette, but if you are looking to create dimension that is more on the glittery, metallic-side, you’ll have to pick from another palette. I personally prefer an all matte eyeshadow palette. My hooded eyes only allow so much glitter or metallic looks.

The eyeshadows are super buttery & pigmented, so a little goes a long way! I’ve found for me, adding a little at a time prevents the shadows from becoming muddy. So far I have created looks using Oh So Sassy & Foxy, as Oh So Sassy as a crease shade & Foxy as my eyelid shade.

Have you tried the Dose of Colors 5-pan eyeshadow palettes? If so, which ones have you tried & what’s your thoughts? Leave a comment letting me know down below!

Sincerely,

Lee.
